Competition time

Shannon an active and very competitive member of Cornwall young farmers ( St Columb) was keen to enter the craft and handmade competition at the recent Stithians show, this includes entries including everything from baking, photography, flower art and many other options including hand made Jewellery.

Her chosen design of a copper pendant with silver wire and flower decoration included her learning a number of different techniques including the following.
Saw Piercing.
Filing.
Bead forming.
Hammer texturing.
Soldering.
Finishing/Polishing.

A very quick learner Shannon produced a very impressive piece considering that she had not sat at a Jewellers bench before

Not only did she win the handmade Jewellery section but also the overall prize for best hand crafted exhibit well done Shannon well deserved best in show !
